Lionel Union Pacific City Denver Set 299W w/ 636W 637 637 638 Set Box (DAKOTApaul)

Here I'm offering a nice prewar Lionel "City of Denver" Union Pacific train set. From 1937. This is the harder to find "reddish/brown" paint color. Comes with its Individual Boxes and rare Set Box. The set consists of the 636W engine with whistle, with (2) No. 637 Coaches - and the No. 638 observation. Comes with all (3) vestibules. Overall, the train looks great - as seen in all the pictures (please click the link above to view ALL the pictures before bidding). Nice original paint - no bow to the bottoms. Engine ran in forward and reverse when tested. The whistle also worked but did make a a lot of noise. Cars and vestibules are really pretty as pictured (please scroll down the page to view ALL the pictures). Unfortunately, the boxes are not as nice as the trains. All the individual boxes are missing flaps and have some tape. The Set Box is worn, with some wear to the label as pictured. Still have its original "Salt Lake Hardware" label. This is a nice set - and one you won't find very often with boxes. Don't miss this opportunity. Thanks. Offering in AUCTION format (support the auction format!) with NO RESERVE. Buyer pays shipping (Insurance is included in the shipping and handling fees for items over $300). Please check out my other items currently listed, and save on shipping. NO RESERVE.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to vacation schedule - this item will be shipped the w/o August 17th.

Price: $510 SORRY! SOLD!
