High Grade Lionel 226E Locomotive w/ 2226WX Tender + BOXESHere is one of my favorite Lionel Steam Locomotives - the Lionel "O" Gauge 2-6-4 No. 226E steam locomotive, with its matching No. 2226WX Whistle Tender. Comes with its original BOXES plus Inserts. Engine measures 10-3/4" long not including the couplers. I would call this set in like new, near mint original condition - as seen in the pictures below. Shows very little run time and wear. One of the better sets I've ever seen. The tender is the white heat stamped version. The engine has been tested and it runs well in forward and reverse and cycles beautifully. Lights up underneath. The whistle on the tender also works. The Engine box has all flaps and its inserts. A crease on one side (see pics). The tender box is marked 2226W which would be incorrect, however, this is the way the set came to me. One flap is repaired, but box is brick-like with original inserts. I believe the pictures tell the story, however, if you have any questions, please ask. Buy with confidence - this is a nice one.
