Nice! Lionel Prewar # 763E Steam Hudson Loco w/ 263W Tender + BOXESHere is a beautiful all original Lionel No. 763E NYC Gun-metal Gray Hudson Steam Locomotive with its No. 263W Whistle Tender. Comes with its original BOXES. This is a nice 1937 version. One look at the Engine and you can see just how nice this piece is - nice and straight castings with no breaks or cracks, high gloss original paint finish, wonderful strong graphics, just a couple small paint nicks. Overall, I would grade this excellent. The one thing keeping this from grading higher is a slight bend in the back cab roof. No sign of a break or chip, but if you look at the pictures you can see a small bend on the right. Runs nicely in forward and reverse. Original tender draw pin. Front light is out. The tender is also in very nice original condition. Has some paint scrapes. Tabs nice and tight. Whistle worked when tested. Boxes are included but not in very good condition. The tender box is missing one end flap. Does have its insert. The Engine box is missing all its flaps on one end. Dated 1937.
