Rare Lionel Ives Transition # 257 Steam Loco w/ 257T Tender + BOXES

WOW! Here is a beautiful all original Ives/LionelNo. 257 Steam Locomotive with its No. 257T Tender, both with orange stripe. What is nice about this set is that it comes with its rare original BOXES and insert. Lionel made these in the early 1930s in O Gauge with Ives Plates.  The set  is in excellent condition - as seen in the pictures. When put on a test track the engine ran well. The Engine box has one flap that is in half but has all its original flaps. Nice insert. The Tender box is missing two interior flaps on one end. Both boxes marked correctly on ends. I believe the pictures tell the story well, and please let me know if you have any questions. A wonderful engine for your prewar collections. Buy with confidence.
