Lionel No. 1505WS 1953 Freight Set 2046 Engine 2046W 6464-1 +BOXESHere is the No. 1505WS Freight Set that Lionel made in 1953. This set includes the No. 2046 diecast steam engine with smoke, headlight and magne-traction, the No. 2046W Whistle Tender, the No. 6462 Black NYC Gondola, the No. 6464-1 Silver Western Pacific Box Car, the No. 6415 Sunoco Three Dome Tank Car, the No. 6357 Illuminated SP Caboose. Comes with all Individual Boxes and the Set Box. This set is in very nice original condition - as you can see in the photographs below (and PLEASE click the link above to view ALL the pictures before bidding). The Engine is very clean and runs great in forward and reverse, smoke works. Tender has no breaks or cracks to the shell, but does show some wear on the high areas. Has a small little nick into one side (see pics). When tested the whistle worked properly. The cars all look excellent to like new, with no problems. The 6464-1 Boxcar has nice and bright silver but does show some finger print wear. The Tank cat looks beautiful. The Engine Box is brick-like with a great interior lining. The rest of the Individual boxes are missing some flaps and has some tape on the ends. Some are torn. The pictures show the condition well. The set box is in very good shape, as pictured.
