Rare 1938 Lionel Prewar 700E 4-6-4 Scale Hudson w/ 700W Tender

Here is a great train. This is truly an attic find, never been on the market - an extremely nice all original Lionel 700E Hudson with its matching 700W Tender. Comes with its original Lionel board and a 1938 catalog. What makes this one nice is, first, the beautiful original condition, and secondly that is a 1938, which had the stronger casting and better overall design from the 1937. The serial number on this is 381453 which is under the front truck. This has the black zinc ally die-cast superstructure, nickel plates, rubber stamped "5344" below the windows and on the headlight. 14-1/8". NEW YORK CENTRAL on the tender. Condition on this train is excellent plus  - as you can see in the many pictures below. There is absolutely NO casting deterioration on any part. Graphics strong for this engine but slightly faded. I believe you would be hard pressed to find much nicer an example of this 1938 engine. The Tender looks just as nice as the engine, with some slight oxidation wear. No warpage to the shell. It is missing its rear coupler. The engine runs well in both forward and reverse, the whistle on the tender has not been tested. The board is really nice. Some dirt and grime, but a really nice original board. This will be a great display and investment piece. Don't miss this rare and unique train - sure to be the focus of any collection. Enjoy all the pictures, and let me know if you have any questions.
