Lionel Prewar No 224E Steam Engine w/ Diecast # 2224W Tender OBHere is a nice Lionel late prewar "O" gauge Steam Engine - this is the No. 224E 2-6-2 Steam Locomotive with its matching No. 2224W Whistle Tender. It includes the original boxes and inserts. I've included many photographs for you to see the condition. Overall, I believe this set is in very good to excellent condition. The engine looks great. Nice original matte finish. Runs well in forward and reverse. The tender is also very with just some minor wear. It whistles fine. It appears to have been rewired. The Engine box has both inserts. Missing interior flaps and both end flaps have been reattached. The Tender box is nice and bright, but is missing all flaps. Original insert. A nice late prewar set - don't miss. Thanks.
