Lionel 257 Locomotive & 257T Tender w/ 629 630 Passengers

Here is a fairly hard to find set of Lionel prewar Trains -Set No. 232 from 1930 only. This set consists of a Lionel "O" gauge 257 loco with its 257T tender. It is pulling a No. 629 red Pullman Car and a matching No. 630 Observation. This is an Ives/Lionel Transitional Engine - made in 1930-32. Version with orange stripe on the engine. Size of the loco is 8-1/4" and the tender 5-1/2" not including the couplers. Condition is very good - as seen in the pictures below (and, please click the link above to view ALL the pictures before bidding). Engine lights up and ran in forward. No switch in the back. Cow catcher is complete.One pick-up roller has been soldered. Flags appear to be replacements. Tender shows some wear.  Passenger Cars look good, however, some paint wear and scratches. Decal on the bottom. Some oxidation. A must have for the collector - a somewhat hard set to find.
