Rare Lionel Set # 8062 w/ Dull blk. 258, 2689TX 654 655

Here is a fantastic looking Set of late prewar "O27" Lionel tinplate trains - with a rare No. 8062 Set Box, from the early 1940s. It features a great looking "Dull Black" No. 258 Steam Engine, with a hard No. 2689TX Tender. The set has the blacken journals and it includes the following freights - No. 654 Sunoco "Oil" car, the No. 655 rubber stamped Box Car, and the tuscan roofed No. 657 Caboose. Also, we have the individual boxes, a No. 1036 transformer, some track (8-curves, 3 straight, connector), and the Set Box. I think you can tell from the pictures that this set is in wonderful overall condition. The engine and tender look very nice. The cars are also very pretty as seen in the pictures. The engine box is missing some interior flaps, and one flap is held on with tape. The tender box is missing an end flap, the others are in decent shape. The set box has some old masking tape, and is missing an interior flap. Don't miss this rare Lionel Set.
