Lionel prewar O gauge No. 255E Steam Engine w/ 263WX Tender

Here is a a fairly hard to find Lionel prewar "O" gauge Steam Engine - No. 255E, with a No. 263WX Tender with correct latch Coupler - in gun-metal gray. The engine measures 11-5/8" not including its couplers, and the Tender 7-1/4".  Most of these have replaced frames, but this one has the original frame which is hard to find. The steam chest is also intact. Boiler front opens fine. Does have some scratches and paint wear as seen in the pictures. Appears that the front and the back pony wheels are replacements. Missing the bulb underneath. When put on a test track the engine lights up, but I didn't get it to run. Some sparks but no power to the engine. The wheels turn freely, and everything seems to be in good shape. The Tender is correct for this engine. It has the nice 6-wheel trucks and nickeled journals. Correct front, however, like most of these it is beginning to crack. This has just minor crazing. Missing one pick-up roller underneath. Has some scratches and wear.  I took clear pictures for you to see all. Don't miss this really nice, and unique engine for your collection.
