Lionel Set No. 2229W 2254 NY Central AA +Freights SET BOXHere is a fantastic set of Lionel postwar "O" gauge trains. This is set No. 2229W - the New York Central Freight Set made in 1954. A Lionel set that you won't see very often. This Set includes the No. 2354P and the No. 2354T New York Central F-3 AA Diesels with Dual Motors, Magnetraction and Horn, the No. 3562-25 gray operating barrel car, No. 6356 stock car, No. 6456-75 Shinny red Lehigh Valley hopper car, a No. 6468 B&O boxcar, and the No. 6417 caboose. Included are all the individual boxes, the USC and box, some billboards and paperwork, and a very nice original SET BOX. Overall, I would have to grade this set close to like new - as seen in the pictures. All the trains are very clean, with very minor signs of use and handling. The engine runs in forward and reverse. Both the powered and the non-powered units are cosmetically very nice with good strong graphics. Very clean, little wear. Most of the freights are in great shape as seen in the pictures. Very little run time. Nice and clean. The 6456 Hopper is outstanding. Nice and shinny, near mint condition. The only car that will need to be upgraded is the Caboose, that has a broken bottom light bracket, and a broken end rail. The Engine box is brick-like with its interior lining. The T Unit box is missing some flaps on one end, has some tape on the corner. Original Insert. The individual boxes are in great shape. The set box is nice and square and in excellent condition.
