Scarce Hubley HFD Cast Iron Fire Ladder Truck -Large!

Here is one you won't see very often. An extremely rare early Hubley "HFD" Cast Iron Fire Ladder Truck. This is Hubley's largest Fire Truck it ever made - measuring 22-1/2" long. This is a beautiful version that has has separate front cast iron bumper, the separate hose reel up front, and "HFD" embossed on the sides. Driver is correct for this toy. He is the same driver that was in the Elgin Street Sweeper toy that Hubley made - only he is painted a different colors scheme. The rear driver is an early original cast iron figure, but I believe not correct for this toy. He is holding a large cast iron steering wheel. The Engine is magnificent in its look. Nickel plated ladder racks and wooden ladders with one I know is a replacement. Original rubber tires on metal disk wheels. The toy is in excellent condition for its age. No breaks or cracks to the castings. The rubber tires do show some wear and have the typical age cracks and some warping. A fine piece for the serious collector. Don't miss. Thanks.
