Lionel # 3462 Postwar Refrigerated Car Milk Car & Platform OB 1947Here is a very nice Lionel postwar "O" gauge Automatic Milk Car No. 3462 with its 3462P platform, coil couplers, milk cannisters, and BOX with insert. This is the harder-to-find 1947 version with the brass base mechanism, four brass tabs, and a square sheet metal plate that slides out under the milkman. Considerably more scarce than the later versions. Has the platform with a little notch in the middle. It measures 10-1/4" not including its couplers. Excellent plus condition as seen in the pictures. No breaks or cracks, original man still present. Clean trucks, showing very little run time. Some discoloring. Milk cans present for the car. Box is the best part of this set. All flaps present.
