Lionel Train Set No. 2205WS, 736, 2046W, 3484 + Set Box
Here is am extremely nice original freight set of Lionel "0" gauge postwar trains. Set No. 2205 WS from 1953. It was called the 'Lionel Iron Horse". It includes the heat stamped No. 736 "O" Berkshire 2-8-4 steam locomotive, with its 2046W "Lionel Lines" whistle tender. Also, included are the freights - No. 3484 Pennsylvania Box Car, the No. 6456 black Lehigh Valley Hopper car, the No. 6415 Sunoco 3-Dome Tank Car, The No. 6468 Baltimore 7 Ohio Auto Box Car, and the No. 6417 Pennsylvania caboose. Additionally, we have UCS, (7) pieces of straight and (8) pieces of curved track, some paperwork, the 1953 Instruction booklet, the Set Box and all individual boxes. Condition is outstanding as seen in the pictures. Looks like the set came right from a home. And used very little since 1953. The 736 loco is cosmetically beautiful. Paint is close to 100%. We put it on a track and it runs well and smokes. The tender looks outstanding - whistle works well. All the freights look like new. Overall, the boxes are in excellent shape. Nice and bright in color and crisp. The Engine box has some writing on the sides. The 6417 box has some tape, and a few of the boxes are missing a coupler flap on one end. The set box was opened with a razor around the top. One flap went missing in the process. A great looking set of postwar trains - not to be missed. Thanks.
