Lionel Set # 298W w/ 238E 265W 600 601 602 Passenger Cars

Here is a neat set of Lionel prewar "O" gauge Trains. Set No. 298W "The Pennsylvania Torpedo". Cataloged in 1936-37. The set consists of the gun-metal gray No. 238E 4-4-2 Locomotive with it matching 265W Whistle Tender. It pulls (3) illuminated red on red Passenger Cars - the No. 602 Baggage, the No. 600 pullman, and the No. 601 Observation. This set is in good overall condition with some paint wear - as seen in the many pictures (and please click the link above to view ALL the pictures before bidding). The Engine runs in forward and reverse, but could use a lube, and the Tender whistles when tested. All the car light up when on track. The Tender is missing a coupler pin. The cars have that wonderful look - with wear mostly to the roofs. The roofs are original paint. A neat early set of Lionel trains, not to be missed. Thanks.
