Lionel Congressional Set w/ 2340 Tuscan GG-1 2542 2543 2544 2541 BOXEDOne of the most desirable of all postwar passenger sets is this one, the Congressional - Set No. 2254W from 1955. This features the sought after No. 2340 Tuscan 5-stripe Pennsylvania GG-1 with the following lighted aluminum Passenger cars - the No. 2542 Betsy Ross Vista-Dome; the No. 2543 William Penn Pullman; the No. 2544 Molly Pitcher Pullman, and the 2541 Hamilton Observation Car. Comes with all individual boxes, some track, and the rare SET BOX. Overall, this set is in excellent condition - as you can see by all the pictures. The engine has some nice striping. Some small marks and paint nicks. Additionally, you can see the rough casting under the paint on one side. Runs in both forward and reverse. Missing one slip shoe on the truck. The Passenger Cars are all in similar excellent condition. They show some minor wear on the painted silver parts. But overall very strong. Clean trucks. Engine box is outstanding with original insert. The car boxes have some wear on a couple of corners, and on the flap of the 2541. All flaps are there. The set box is a nice one. It has gotten somewhat dry over the years, and has some bug holes on one side. All flaps intact. A great set - not to be missed. Please enjoy all the pictures, and please ask any questions. Thanks.
