Lionel Postwar 2551W Great Northern EP5 Freight Set 2358 6828 ++SET BOXWhen was the last time you have seen this set! Cataloged in 1960, this is Set No. 2551W. A six-car Freight Train Set featuring the No. 2358 Great Northern EP-5 electric Engine. It includes a No. 3512 operating fireman and ladder car, a No. 6827 flat car with 6827-100 Harnischfeger power shovel, a No. 6828 flatcar with 6828-100 Harnischfeger crane, a No. 6736 Detroit & Mackinac hopper, a No. 6812 track maintenance car, a No. 6427 Caboose, a No. 110 trestle set, all invidual boxes, and the rare SET BOX. All that is pictured. WOW! Overall, the trains are in excellent and like new condition. Some are unrun, and if run, only very little. I will detail specifics of what I see. The Engine has its original decal. Runs well in forward and reverse. One side has some significant scratches along the bottom. Also, minor wear here and there. The Box has a replaced front insert. The fire car is just ourstanding. Near mint. Box also great. The 6812 is also outstanding. The 6828 Crane Car looks complete with no breaks or cracks to any of the pieces. Box is also very nice, but does have some masking tape on the inside flaps and p, as I see no tears. The 6827 is also nice. Box is shows some wear on the creases. missing its front tab. The 6736 Hopper is mint. Box is missing one inside flap which is torn. Caboose is correct for this set and in great shape. Bottom of trestle box shows some wear. The Set box has some repair to the flap creases along a couple of edges. Overall it is nice and sturdy and in good shape. Don't miss this rare set. And, please ask any questions. Thanks.
