Nice! Henry Hart Safe Deposit Bank - Fortunes Are Made by Pennies Saved

Here is a great looking cast iron combination bank. This is the Safe Deposit Bank - made by Henry Hart, c. 1885, cast iron, painted in black, a scarce example has extensive gold lettering on  door, paper litho images on top, combination dial  door.  This bank measures 5-1/4" h x 4-1/2" w x 4-1/4" d. Made of cast iron with metal sides. Shows some paint wear, and one image on top is worn. I do not have the combination, so I could not get the front door to open. Some oxidation on handles on the sides. A fairly hard bank to find. Don't miss.
