Lionel Silver Streak Set 279E 265E Commodore Vanderbilt 261TX 619 618

Here is a desirable Lionel prewar O gauge chrome Silver Streak passenger Set No. 279E, circa 1935. The Set includes a No. 265E black 2-4-2 Commodore Vanderbilt steam locomotive with nickel trim, a No. 261TX tender with nickel trim and journals, a No. 619 Baggage and Pullman Car, a No. 618 Observation Car, and one vestibule. This is a nice looking set as seen in all the pictures. The Engine has a replaced cab. Nice original patina with some small surface wear and scratches. Tender has some scratches on its sides. The chrome on the passenger cars is bright and shiny with minor surface wear as pictured. When put on a test track the engine lights up and hums, and moves when coaxed. Sticky e-unit.
