Nice Original Lionel Girls Freight Train Set # 1587S, 2037-500LT SET BOX ++

This set needs no introduction. Made in 1957-58 this is the Lionel Girls Train Set No. 1587S. It features the "pink" No. 2037-500LT loco, with the 1130T-500 tender. It includes the following freights - the 6464-510 NYC Pacemaker Box Car, the 6462-500 NYC Girls pink Gondola with (4) white canisters, the 6436-500 Lehigh Valley lilac Hopper, the 6464-515 MKT Boxcar, the No. 6427-500 PRR Porthole powder blue Caboose. This set comes with its Individual Boxes, a No. 6029 track, 8 sections of curved track and 5 straight, the white No. 1043-500 transformer, 3 CTC lockons, contoller, 1957 How To Operate booklet, 1957 Accessory catalog, 1957 train cataloge, Loco inst. sheet,  and the rare SET BOX. All that is pictured.

Overall, this is a very nice original set. The trains themselves are in excellent condition with little run time. All the pictures detail every aspect of the set - so there are no surprises. The Engine and tender show some wear on the high areas. All cars are in excellent or better condition. Some minor nicks to the paint. The Hopper car has a small hairline from the cross bar on one side. All individual boxes and peripherals are present except it is missing its Engine box.  The transformer is original but has a worn cord. The boxes are very nice with all flaps. You will see some tiny tears to some of the flap creases, and there is a repaired end flap on the Hopper car box. The set box has some repaired tears and overall shows wear.  Overall, just a really nice set - that should not be missed.  Please let me know if you have questions. Thanks.
