Early Postwar Lionel Freight Set w/ 1666 Engine 2466WX 2454 2452X OB DAKOTApaulWhen it comes to quintessential Lionel Trains - I think of this set. From 1946 this is Set No. 1411W. An 'O27' Freight Set that featured the No. 1666 2-6-2 Steam Engine with its matching No. 2466WX Tender. It was pulling a nice set of (4) Freights including a No. 2454 "Baby Ruth" Boxcar, and No. 2465 "Sunoco" double-dome Tank Car, and No. 2452X "PENNSYLVANIA" Gondola, and a No. 2472 red metal Caboose. Also comes with a 60 Watt #1041 Transformer, a 1019 remote control track section, and (9) pieces of straight track and (7) curved. Includes original Lionel BOXES. Overall the set looks really nice as you can see in the many pictures.The Engine lights up and ran well in forward and reverse. The tender whistled fine. The engine also has both of its front steps complete. Whistle Tender has correct brown fibre board flying shoe trucks. The Engine box is complete with correct interior lining. Inner tape on one tuck flap. The Tender box has tape on one end flap. The cars all look excellent with only minor wear. The boxes are in good shape. with some tape on the 2452 box The transformer is missing its cord and has not been tested. The 1019 box is missing an end flap. Overall, a nice set - don't miss.
