High Grade Boxed Lionel Passenger Set 2148WS w/773 2426W 2625 + SET BOXHere is one of the most sought after Lionel postwar passenger sets - No. 2148WS, circa. 1950. Rarely seen. This set includes the No. 773 black 4-6-4 Hudson Steam Loco, and a No. 2426W whistle tender - that pulls a No. 2625 Irvington Pullman, a No. 2627 Madison Pullman, and the No. 2628 Manhattan Pullman. All come in their original boxes with inserts and some lionel paper. Also included in the set is the Instruction booklet, the 773 instruction sheet, smoke pellets, lube, tamper a sheet of 1950 billboards, and CTC. Most importantly in includes the scarce 1950 Set Box. All that is pictured below. Enjoy all the pictures as I tried to show all. As you can see, this set is in outstanding original condition. Used little, if at all, from 1950. The Engine is in pristine condition and looks virtually unrun. The Tender is in similar condition, hardly a speck. The engine box has its original insert. The Tender box is very nice, and better than most. All flaps with some minor wear along edges. Nice and bright with a beautiful original Insert. The Passenger Cars are also really nice. Almost perfect. Bottoms and wheels look test or unrun. The 2627 has the letters off to the side of the window, but with correct silouettes in windows, and was included like this in the set. Matches the other cars perfectly. The boxes, which are very hard to find for these cars, are in excellent condition. Nice and bright with all flaps and inserts. Some minor flap repair and a few small areas of skinning. Also, the paper included does have a few tears. The Set Box is worn with repairs and shows skinning in places. One side flap and two of the small interior flaps have been repaired back to the box. One end had a crack along the bottom which has also been repaired.
