Rare Lionel Set 748W w/ 763E Hudson 2226WX 4) 2623 Pass

Here is one you won't see very often. This is the components of the LIONEL "O72" prewar set No. 748W from 1941-42. It includes the great Hudson semi-scale No. 763E Steam Locomotive with its No. 2226WX whistle tender. Included, it comes with (4) prewar 2623 Madison type Heavyweight "Manhattan" illuminated passenger cars. The Engine and Tender Boxes with wrap, and (4) 2623 Boxes. The set was to include a 2624 Observation - but that was never made by Lionel. Overall, this set is in extremely nice condition. I've taken a lot of pictures for you to see for yourselves, and please ask any questions. The engine cosmetically looks almost like new. The engine ran well in forward and reverse when tested. The frame looks nice and straight. The tender also looks to be in excellent plus condition. Both come with their original boxes. The endine box has some staining. The Tender Box is very nice. The passenger cars are also in excellent condition. All steps are intact. One car has replaced vestibules. Roofs look excellent, and the cars have hardly a scratch as seen in the pictures. I have the (4) boxes for the passenger cars, but they are in rough conditiion. Some with replaced flaps. Interior linings are there.  Don't miss this one. Thanks.
