Lionel Set 2115WS 1946 w/ 726 Loco 2426W 2460 3451 2420 OBs

Here is one of my favorite Lionel O gauge postwar sets  - Set No. 2115WS - from 1946. A rare set in this kind of condition. The set includes a very nice all original 1946 No. 726 Berkshire 2-8-4 Locomotive with its No. 2426W die-cast Whistle Tender. This Loco & Tender are in excellent plus condition - as seen in the pictures. The engine runs well in forward and reverse. Smoke bulb is working. Nice original patina. The Tender is as nice as you will find for a 1946 tender - as you can see in the pictures. Correct rubber stamping, whistles nicely. Also in this set is the hard-to-find gray 2460 Crane Car, the rare rubber stamped 3451 Lumber Car with metal bin, a nice 2458 Automobile Car, and the No. 2420 Searchlight Wrecking Caboose.  Set comes with all individual boxes, a RCS remote control track set with the early "black button" controler, a 167 whistle controller, correct paperwork marked 1946, and track. Of course, the price marked Set Box. All detailed in the more than 80 pictures.

A beautifully matched set that all looks excellent and better - as seen in the pictures. The freights are very nice. Only a couple small marks in the gray crane car. Stamping on the log car is excelent for that early car. The boxcar is straight and in beautiful condition. Caboose lights up when tested. All the boxes are in good shape. The tender box has a couple repaired flaps, The 2460 box has one repaired flap. The boxcar box is missing its coupler flaps. All have their original inserts. The set box is excellent for this set. Some general wear, and some minor tears in the corners. I took lots of pictures for you to see all, and please ask any questions. A great Lionel set not to be missed.
