Lionel prewar O gauge 176E Steam Passenger Set 259E, 2640 OBS

Here is a wonderful set of prewar O gauge trains - The Lionel Set No. 176E from 1938. This set includes the gunmetal gray No. 259E steam engine with a No. 2689T Tender, pulling (3) blue with silver roof lighted passenger cars - (2) No. 2640 Pullmans - and the No. 2641 Observation train car. Comes with all individual boxes, the RSC controller, the original 1938 Instruction booklet and the Set Box. All that is pictured.

The Set overall is in excellent and better condition. Trains look sparkling and are in wonderful condition for this early train set. The Engine has one little paint nick on the back corner of the cab. The Passenger Cars are a wow! Not much wrong with these. Nice bright original silver roofs. The Engine and tender boxes show there wear. The engine box is missing an end flap and has some flap repair. The passenger car boxes all look excellent. Missing most of the coupler flaps, and one internal flap is repaired. Set box is in good condition as pictured. Some corner and crease wear as expected. Nice label. A real nice set - don't miss.
