Lionel 1553W Freight Set w/ 2338 6464-425 6430 6346 + BOX

Here is a set you don't see very often -  the 1553W 027 Gauge Freight Set that Lionel made in 1956. This Set includes the No. 2338 Milwaukee Road GP Diesel with Horn and Magnetraction, the No. 6464-425 New Haven Box Car, the No. 6346 Alcoa Covered Hopper, the No. 6462-125 Red New York Central Gondola with (6) wooden barrels, the No. 6430 Flat Car with CP Trailers, the No. 6257-50 Red Caboose. Comes with its individual boxes, 1053 60 Watt Transformer, a 6019 Remote Control Track Set, plus the Set Box. All that is pictured.

Overall, the condition is excellent as seen in the many pictures. The pictures will give you a great idea of the condition - both of the trains and the boxes. The 2338 only has a couple marks in the black. The rest looks nice and clean. No breaks or cracks. When tested the Engine ran well in both forward and reverse. Its box has a paper label on one end, and the other end has some skinning and some tape residue, and wear as pictured. The 6264 Gondola has a nice box, with only one piece of tape on the inside of one tuck flap. The 6430 freight car is like new. However, its box has some tape on the sides and flaps. Shows some wear. The 6464-425 Boxcar is in very good condition. Shows little runtime. Its box has some skinning, staining and tape on one end. The Alcoa Hopper has wear into the silver on the roof. It's box is very nice, complete with all flaps intact, however, it has a black magic marker square on one side. The Caboose box has some staining and tape wear. The set box looks nice and sturdy, and clean. Still has store label on end. Some writing on that end. Don't miss this set - and please ask any questions. Thanks.
