Lionel #1625WS 1959 Freight Set w/ 2037 6026W 6512 6636 ++ OB

This is a nice postwar set from 1959 that you don't see very often. This is the No. 1625WS Space Set that Lionel made circa 1959 (yellow set box). This was the top-of-the-line 027 Freight Set that year and includes the No. 2037 Diecast Steam Engine with Magnetraction, Headlight and Smoke, the No. 6026W Whistle Tender, the No. 3512 Black Ladder Fire & Ladder Car, the black No. 6636 Alaska Quad Hopper, the No. 6650 Flat Car with Missile Launcher, the No. 6470 Exploding Box Car and the No. 6017 Caboose. Also comes with a 1053 Transformer, uncoupler section, some paperwork and 5 Individual Boxes. Comes with its rare yellow Set Box. All that is in the many pictures.

The Engine and tender are in excellent condition. Tested and it ran well in forward and reverse. The Engine box is very nice, still sealed on one end. The Tender box is missing. The Freights are all in excellent plus and better condition. Little run time on any. Fire car is has one nozzle nub tip broken. The rocket on the missile car has some cracks in the white section. The individual boxes are in various conditions. The Hopper box is missing half of its fron perf. The Missile Car box has some tape on one end. The fire carhas some repaired tears and some tape on one end. Missing the Caboose box. The yellow set box has some tape on three corners, and some cardboard supports on the inside. A great set not to be missed. Thanks.
