Lionel Train Set No. 1469WS w/ 1949 SET BOX, 2035, 6466W, 6456 6465 +

Here is a very nice original set of Lionel postwar trains. Set No. 1469WS first cataloged in1950. However, the set actually began in late 1949, and the set box could be the 1949 box or the new issue 1950 box. This one comes with a 1949 Set Box. It includes the No. 2035 "O" gauge 2-6-4 steam locomotive, with its 6466W "Lionel Lines" whistle tender. Also, included are the following freights - the No. 6456 Maroon Lehigh Valley Hopper  Car, - the No. 6462 NYC Gondola - the No. 6465 Sunoco Tank car - and the No. 6257 Caboose. I have the individual boxes, a 6019 RCS, the No. 1033 90 Watt Transformer, CTC Lockon, eight 1013 curved track and three straights, some SP smoke pellets, Lionel paper - and the rare SET BOX. A neat set that came right from the attic.

The trains in this set are all in excellent condition showing only minor wear . The individual boxes are very good, with some tears, repaired flaps and general wear. The set box is in very good shape with some crease repair, and staining. I believe the condition is apparent in all the pictures. A couple of notes: The engine ran well in forward and reverse. Smoke unit worked fine. Whistle on the tender also works, but wires underneath are brittle and one needs to be reattached. The engine box has a wonderful original liner. The tender box does not have one. Paper is torn and shows age.  Please take a look at all the pictures, and ask any questions. Don't miss - a nice postwar set. Thanks.
