Lionel Train Set No. 1461S, 6001T, 6004, 6007 +Set Box

Here is a neat freight set of Lionel "027" gauge postwar trains. Set No. 1461S from 1950. It was called the 'Lionel 3-Car Freight Set'. It includes the No. 6110 "O27" 2-4-2 steam locomotive with smoke and magnatraction, with its 6001T "Lionel Lines" early coal tender. Also, included are the freights - No. 6004 "Baby Ruth" Box Car, the No. 6002 Gondola, and the No. 6007 SP-Type caboose. Additionally, we have a No. 1012 Transformer, all individual boxes, a uncoupling piece, some track and the SET BOX. Condition is as seen in the pictures - which overall is excellent.

The 6110 loco was made to improve the Scout Sets. It is essentially an 1120 fitted with a smoke unit. The smoke unit drew in air from a hole in the boiler face. We put it on a track and it runs well. The tender also looks great, with no problems. The freights all look to be in nice condition. Overall, the boxes are only in fair shape. A couple of flaps have been taped, and some missing. The TRANSFORMER is unopened! The uncoupling piece has oxidation throughout. The set box has some tape on ends. Pictures tell the story. Please ask any questions on condition before bidding.
