Lionel # 1517W Texas Freight Set w/ 2245 AB 6464-225 ++

Here is a great set of Lionel postwar trains. This is the "O27" Texas Special Freight Set No. 1517W from 1954. This Set includes the No. 2245 Texas Special F-3 AB Diesels with Magnetraction and Horn, the No. 6464-225 Southern Pacific Box Car, the No. 6462-25 Green NYC Gondola, the No. 6561 Diecast Flat Car with Cable Reels, the No. 6427 Lionel Lines N5C Caboose and the No.1033 90 Watts Transformer. Also includes all individual boxes, (8) pieces of curved and (5) pieces of straight track; some billboards, paper; and the Set Box. All that is pictured.

We believe that the engines are generally in excellent condition, very clean and glossy red, but both have some minor rub marks along the edges, and a few scratches, as pictured. The B Unit is missing two portholes. The Cars are in excellent to excellent plus condition, very clean. The green gondola shows some edge wear. The interior boxes are missing some interior flaps, and some have tape on the flaps. The A and B Unit boxes do not have interior linings. Both have stains as seen in the pictures. The original set box has a replaced interior flap, and is reinforced with some tape along a couple of edges.

This is one for the collection. A great set of Lionel trains, that is rarely seen. Please check all the pictures, and ask any condition questions before bidding.
