Lionel # 4109WS Electronics 7 Piece Freight Train Set

Here is one you don't see very often. The No. 4109WS Electronics Freight Set that Lionel made in 1946. This "O" Gauge Set includes the No. 671R Steam Turbine, the No. 4424W Whistle Tender, the No. 4452 Pennsylvania Gondola, the No. 4454 Baby Ruth Box Car, the No. 5459 Automatic Ore Dump Car, the No. 4357 Illuminated SP Caboose and the ECU Controller. We also have the controller box.

The 4109WS Electronic Control Set was such a revolutionary product that it was featured as the first set in Lionel's 1946 catalog. Uncoupling and unloading features were controlled by receivers mounted on each car, with the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Condition of this set is very good to excellent - as seen in the pictures. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to test these trains, so we are selling as pictured. The engine and tender are missing their "L" decal. A great looking set, seldom seen, don't miss.
