Lionel Silver Streak Set 279E 265E Commodore Vanderbilt 261TX 619 618 (DAKOTApaul)

Here is a desirable Lionel prewar O gauge chrome Silver Streak passenger Set No. 279E, circa 1935. The Set includes a No. 265E black 2-4-2 Commodore Vanderbilt steam locomotive with nickel trim, a No. 261TX tender with nickel trim and journals, a No. 619 Baggage and Pullman Car, a No. 618 Observation Car, and one vestibule. This is a nice looking set as seen in all the pictures below (and please click the link above to view ALL the pictures before bidding). The Engine has its original cab, but unfortunately it is starting to crack (see pics). Nice original patina. The chrome on the passenger cars is bright and shiny with a couple of minor marks. When put on a test track the engine lights up and hums, and moves a little, but will need a cleaning and lube to run perfectly. This is one for your collections. Please ask any questions. Don't miss.
